Jennifer Lopez’s three engagement rings from Ben Affleck: How much did they cost?

Let’s face it, Jennifer Lopez hasn’t had the best of luck in love. With more splits than Simone Biles’ daily workout, her martial history makes painful reading - she’s been engaged six times and married four times. Her latest marriage, to old flame Ben Affleck is also at an end.

Back in 2019, she explained, “I’ve been married three times: once was nine months and once was 11 months. So I don’t really count those. I was married to Marc for 10 years with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married.”

Now, after months of speculation, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in a Los Angeles County Superior Court, California, on August 20, what would have been their second wedding anniversary.

‘Bennifer’, officially over

According to official documents obtained by TMZ, the cited date of separation is April 26 of this year, which indicates a four-month breakup. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce marks the second split for the couple who first got engaged in the early 2000s.

In May 2021, 17 years after their first separation, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck decided to give love a second chance. This time, the marriage did take place, although the outcome was not as expected.

Over the years together, J-Lo has built up a collection of three engagement rings from the Argo actor. The first was a gorgeous 6.10-carat pink diamond, radiant cut, from Harry Winston which was given to the actress more than 20 years ago.

The second jewel was a natural green diamond of between 9 and 10 carats and corresponds to the marriage that took place in 2020; while the third piece, an 8-carat cushion-cut yellow diamond, was a gift that the actor gave to the singer in January of this year.

Ben Affleck spent millions of dollars on engagement rings

According to a report by Showbiz CheatSheet, the Batman actor spent just over $6 million on engagement rings for J-Lo. The 2000s piece, which Ben first proposed to JLo with, is valued at $2.8 million, while the second is worth over $3 million, making it the most expensive piece of jewelry from their relationship.

“The center stone is estimated to be between 9 and 10 carats and has an elongated cushion cut. It also appears to have two tapered baguette cuts, making it a three-stone ring. Taking all of this into account, this is undoubtedly the most expensive engagement ring we’ve seen in a long time, with an estimated value of over $3 million,” the aforementioned media reports.

Finally, the so-called “third engagement ring” is valued at $500,000 and features a rare cushion-cut yellow diamond in the center. The first time J-Lo appeared wearing this ring was in January 2024, so it is only considered a gift.
