It’s been almost three weeks since it was announced that Jeremy Renner was in the hospital following a snow plow incident, but on January 21 the 52-year-old actor shared a positive update with his followers on social media.

The photo shows Renner laying in a hospital bed while a physical therapist helps him to get the motion of bending his knee.

“Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love. I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all”, the update read.

Although it won’t be a speedy recovery for the Marvel actor, Renner continued his update saying that he’s remaining hopeful and positive that the “30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all.”

Since posting Renner’s account has been flooded with more support from both his followers and friends.

Captain America’ actor Chris Evans wrote “That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat??? Sending so much love.” To which Renner responded “Love you brother…. I did check on the snow cat , she needs fuel.”

Another Marvel co-star, Chris Hemsworth commented “Your [sic] a champion mate! We love you.”

Even the DC universe came to Renner’s comments to show their support and love for the recovering actor. Director and filmmaker James Gunn put a simple heart emoji, while ‘Auqaman’ actor Jason Momoa wrote “all our aloha.”

What happened to Jeremy Renner?

On January 1, the actor was airlifted to hospital for head and blunt chest trauma as well as orthopedic injuries after he was run over by a snow plow, while helping his neighbor clear out the snow from their driveway in Reno, Nevada.

He underwent surgery on January 2, and remained in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition afterward.

“Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.” he wrote via Instagram post on January 3.

Has Jeremy Renner been released from hospital?

Since the accident and his surgery, Renner has been released from the hospital and sent back to his home in Nevada where he is spending his recovery with his family.

The ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ actor still has a long road of healing ahead of him but we wish him all the best.
