Jessie J is now a mother after announcing the birth of her first child on Friday.

The 35-year-old took to her Instagram stories to share the good news, revealing the newborn arrived last week.

“A week ago, my whole life changed,” she wrote. “My son entered this world, and my heart grew twice the size.

“The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love. He is magic. He is all my dreams come true. He is my whole [world]. He and I are both doing great. I am soaking up every second and still can’t believe he is real, here, and mine. I am so grateful. Phew.

“*happy tears*. For all of you that have followed my journey to this moment, thank you all for your continued love and support. I will be back on Instagram when I’m ready.”

Jessie J announced she was pregnant back in January

The news of Jessie J, real name Jessica Ellen Cornish, becoming a mom comes after she shared her pregnancy news back in January.

“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, asking social media users to “please be gentle with” her.

“Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”

She also shared a positive pregnancy test, ultrasound appointment footage and baby bump selfies.

The post came two months after she spoke about losing her “angel” baby one year earlier.

“A year ago today I was told my baby no longer had a heartbeat,” she told her followers.

“Although I can tell the story now without crying, I have and still am discovering all the positives that experience gave me.

“Strength, wisdom, empathy, and gratitude. It still hurts and all day I have just been thinking about all the women and men and families who have been through this numerous times and how incredibly strong they are.

“Grief is such a weird and personal journey. Time helps but it never truly fades. Sending love and strength to anyone’s heart that has or is experiencing this right now.

“And to my little angel baby. I feel you everywhere. Especially today.”
