Jennifer Lopez promotes Ben Affleck’s new movie ‘AIR’ with “happy face” jab
JLo posts a trailer for Affleck’s new film ‘AIR’, while poking fun at her husband’s frowning expression at the Grammys.
After social media lighting up with comments about Ben Affleck’s demeanor beside his wife, Jennifer Lopez, at the 2023 Grammys Sunday, JLo continues to stir the pot.
Though she insisted that they had a great time at the awards show, photos don’t lie, and fans continue to discuss how miserable Affleck looked that evening.
JLo took to Twitter to post a seemingly encouraging message about Affleck’s upcoming film, ‘Air: Courting a Legend’, along with the newly released trailer.
“AIR … cannot wait!” she wrote, tagging “@AIRmovie Starring #MattDamon, @ViolaDavis, #JasonBateman, @ChrisTuckerRea, #ChrisMessina & Directed by @BenAffleck.
Lopez, however, got a little creative by editing the video — she added a shot of Affleck’s character scowling at the camera with a furrowed brow and captioned the photo, “MY HUSBAND’S HAPPY FACE.”

Fans seem to think that JLo is making fun of her husband’s frowning and bored expression at the Grammys a few days earlier.
“Omg this is perfection!” one fan wrote. “Who knows better than @JLo how to masterfully turn the rhetoric around? Own that famous resting BF because when your hubby is that hot AND that sweet IRL its even funnier!”
“That’s my girl,” encouraged another fan, while another said: “You are an Icon a Legend and a Badass wife..Mrs Jennifer Lynn Affleck we love you forever.”
“Guess what kind of coffee and donuts turns a frown upside down for a now infamous RBF? Your number one fan @BenAffleck and you should run with that like his wifey! Cant wait for @airmovie,” someone else joked.
What happened at the Grammys?
Affleck’s blank expression at the Grammys became the source of much Twitter humor, as netizens volleyed jokes for days following the event.
“However bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now,” one person wrote.
“Ben Affleck is every introvert everywhere,” wrote another. “You can see his batteries draining in real time. Man is already at 23% #GRAMMYs#SaveBen.”
“Ben Affleck looks like he’d rather be at Dunkin #Grammys,” a third person chimed in.
