Julia Garner will be Silver Surfer in ‘Fantastic Four’: This is the confirmed cast in the Marvel movie
Emmy-winning actress Julia Garner is making a cosmic leap from the gritty world of “Ozark” to the interstellar expanse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 30-year-old star has officially joined the cast of “Fantastic Four”, where she’ll portray a version of the iconic character Silver Surfer. Garner’s role in the film is Shalla-Bal, a character deeply intertwined with the Silver Surfer’s lore.
Garner joins an impressive ensemble cast, led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards,Mr. Fantastic and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, The Invisible Woman. Joseph Quinn steps into the role of Johnny Storm, The Human Torch, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach embodies the rocky exterior of Ben Grimm, The Thing.

Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his work on “WandaVision,” the new “Fantastic Four” promises to bring the legendary comics family into the MCU.
While little is known about Garner’s specific role, fans can anticipate a blend of intergalactic adventure, emotional depth, and cosmic spectacle. Production is set to begin later this year, and the film is slated for release on July 25, 2025.
The timing of the Fantastic Four’s arrival places them squarely in the middle of the Multiverse Saga. Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU, announced their inclusion during Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. Now, after years of anticipation, the Fantastic Four will lead the charge in Phase Six of the MCU.
