Keanu Reeves has a moment of PDA at MOCA Gala 2023 with girlfriend

Keanu Reeves walked the red carpet at the 2023 Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, joined by his girlfriend, artist Alexandra Grant.

The couple has kept their relationship quiet for years, but had a rare moment of PDA when they shared a kiss on the red carpet.

How long have they been together?

Reeves and Grant met sometime in 2009 becoming friends after meeting each other at a party. The two have since worked together on several art books, including his adult picture book ‘Ode to Happiness’ which was published in 2011 and featured drawings done by Grant.

Returning the favor, Reeves then posed for Grant for their collaborative photo book ‘Shadows’ published in 2016. The book “explores the real and symbolic nature of the shadow as image and figure of speech”, with visuals combined with poetry.

“No one can move the way he can. He’s a really extreme performer,” Grant told the Los Angeles Times.

“That’s a huge piece of why those images are so interesting. I knew that if I moved the camera as we danced together, as photographer and subject, we could create these wonderful optical illusions.”

In the same year, the two walked the red carpet at the UNAIDS Gala At Design Miami event, reportedly as friends. Later in 2017, the two co-founded the publishing company X Artists’ Books.

In 2019, the pair made their relationship public when they were photographed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s annual Art+Film Gala, holding hands.

“I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating,” Grant told British Vogue after the two were seen together.

Happy in love

While promoting his latest film, ‘John Wick: Chapter 4′, Reeves spoke about his last moment of bliss.

“A couple of days ago with my honey,” he told People. “We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.”
