Kim Kardashian pays surprise visit to Harvard Business School

Kim Kardashian recently made a surprise visit to the prestigious Harvard Business School, delivering a guest lecture to students about her shape wear company, SKIMS.

The session was part of the fourth-annual instalment of “Moving Beyond Direct-to-Consumer”, which is led by entrepreneurs. Kardashian was joined by SKIMS co-founder Jens Grede with TV cameras in tow, with People confirming the visit will feature on the ‘The Kardashians’ later this year.

Kim posed for several pictures on campus while wearing a wide-leg pinstripe black pantsuit and black leather trench coat with pointy-toed boots, and documented her visit with a post on her Instagram account.

“I spoke At Harvard Business School yesterday for a class called HBS Moving Beyond DTC,” Kardashian wrote. “The class’s assignment was to learn about @skims, so my partner Jens and I spoke about our marketing, our challenges and our greatest wins. I’m so proud of Skims and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy!!! Thank you professor Len Schlesinger and @harvardhbs for having us.”

Friend Olivia Pierson commented: “Elle Woods… is that you?” in reference to Reese Witherspoon’s character in ‘Legally Blonde’ who goes to Stanford Law School while being obsessed with beauty and fashion.

Kardashian’s appearance met with mixed reviews

Harvard’s decision to bring in Kardashian as a speaker was warmly received by one student in attendance, Liz.

“Just to learn from someone who has built such a successful business was really exciting and I think having the privacy of no cameras in the room, being able to have that candid conversation was special too,” she told NBC10 Boston.

Not everyone was as complimentary, with one Twitter user writing: “This is hilarious. @KimKardashian can’t spell @Harvard.”

This wasn’t Kardashian’s first visit to Harvard

Kim’s visit wasn’t the first time she had paid a visit to Harvard. Back in 2013 she accompanied then fiance and now ex-husband Kanye West as he gave a lecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design as part of the “DONDA Design Lecture Series.”

She also dressed up as as Elle Woods and recreated her Harvard Law School admissions video for Halloween back in 2019.
