Kim Kardashian reveals she’s taking acting classes
The reality TV star was recently cast in the upcoming season of ‘American Horror Story’.
Kim Kardashian is a reality TV star, business owner, future lawyer, and now an actress. Kardashian was recently cast in the upcoming season of ‘American Horror Story’.
To prepare for the role, Kardashian revealed she is taking acting classes. However, the SKIMS founder has had some previous acting experience.
New challenging roles
The reality TV Star shared her excitement with Variety in an interview at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City.
“We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month,” she revealed. “But production has already started, and I’m so excited.”
“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience.”
Kardashian, 42, clarified that she is “of course” taking acting lessons to prepare for Season 12 of the FX series.
“It’s a challenge,” the ‘Kardashians’ star explained. “I like to challenge myself.”
Previous acting experience
Kim Kardashian has acted in several films, TV shows, music videos, and video games throughout her career. Her notable film performances include a role in ‘Disaster Movie’ and a cameo in ‘Ocean’s 8′.
She lent her voice to the 2021 animated film ‘PAW Patrol: The Movie’. The majority of her acting experience has been in minor roles or cameo roles where she plays herself.
She has also appeared on various TV shows such as ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Australia’s Next Top Model’ as a guest star and contestant. While Kardashian’s reality TV show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ is described as one of her main TV roles.
In addition to acting, Kardashian has executive produced several shows, such as ‘Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project’ and ‘The Kardashians’.
Previous role in ‘American Horror Story’
This won’t be the first time Kardashian has been on the set of ‘American Horror Story’. She made a guest appearance on the fifth season of the series, which premiered in 2015.
Kardashian played a character named “Penny,” a wealthy socialite who visits the Hotel Cortez and ends up in a dangerous situation. Her appearance on the show was widely talked about, and while some praised her performance, others criticized it.
In the same season, singer and actress Lady Gaga was also given a prominent role. She ended up winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Film for her performance.
