“Kim Kardashian saved my life” says mass shooting survivor
Angelina Wiley has gone viral online after claiming she survived being shot four times thanks to a Skims bodysuit.
Media personality, socialite, model and actress Kim Kardashian is also a hugely successful businesswoman, with her foundation garment brand Skims one of the business ventures she is most proud of. “Solutions for every body” is the tagline on the company’s website, where shoppers can buy underwear that stretches up to twice its size. “Our goal is to consistently innovate on the past and advance our industry for the future”, the brand explains. However, a more recent function of Kardashian’s designs has come to light on social media, with one woman claiming that a Skims bodysuit saved her life after she was shot four times.
Bodysuit “literally kept me from bleeding out”
Angeline Wiley has gone viral on TikTok after revealing details of an incident that took place in Kansas City last year. While waiting to be picked up in the street, she was shot on four occasions. “This New Year, I got shot four times. The night I got shot, under my dress I was wearing a Skims shaping bodysuit”, she begins.
“It was so tight on me, that it literally kept me from bleeding out,” she continues, calling the garment “body armour for women”. For Wiley, there’s no doubt Kardashian saved life and she’s “definitely going to buy some more”.

Wiley elaborated a little more on the incident, which seemingly left her with a ruptured bladder, a cracked pelvis and a bullet lodged in her abdomen: “Call it fate, or Jesus...but I’m gonna call it Kim”. What she perhaps wouldn’t have expected was the Skims founder herself to get involved in the tale, Kardashian sharing Wiley’s post on Instagram Stories, simply saying “wowww” (along with a folded hands emoji).
“Wowww” indeed.
