While performing at her Las Vegas residency, Katy Perry brought Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, on stage. West, 9, was enjoying the show with a group of friends when Perry invited her to participate in a “walk off competition”.

Perry is a fan of West’s

After bringing West on stage, Perry expressed that she’s actually a fan.

“So the reason I know your name is because I’m a huge fan of your Tik Tok,” she said at the event. “I’ve seen a couple of them that you’ve made.

“You’re a really good dancer, and I thought what better way to be a great dancer [than] to show the world your awesome dance moves?”

After showing off a few dance moves, West asked if her friends could join, and Perry obliged as three of West’s friends came on stage.

In a series of clips that Kim Kardashian shared to her Instagram story, West and her friends can be seen dancing and performing cartwheels among Perry’s backup dancers.

The walk off competition

A walk off competition is where individuals are judged for their strut across the runway. In this case, the competition occurred on a stage.

West participated with her friends before Perry named her and another participant the winners. Perry announced that their reward would be pizza pies as they were escorted backstage.

Perry later posted a video to Instagram of her and Kardashian gushing over each other.

Perry’s Las Vegas residency

The 38-year-old singer-songwriter began her Las Vegas residency on December 29, 2021 with a setlist of 19 of her most popular songs. Her final show will be on November 4, 2023.

“I’m just so proud of the show that we created and put on,” Perry said. “It is such a spectacular show that we love so much.

“It’s almost like the greatest hits show! I call it all thriller, no filler,” she continued. “I wish I could bring it to the rest of the world, but it’s just not technically possible to cart around OTT toilets and bathtubs.”

“Closing a chapter on PLAY allows me to start a new chapter. I’m so excited for the potential of my story to continue.”
