Kylie Jenner says getting lip filler was “the best thing I’ve ever done”

Kylie Jenner’s latest interview with Homme Girls comes on the heels of the ongoing speculations of her romance with actor Timothée Chalamet.

And while she may not be talking about her love life, she is finally addressing the ongoing claims about the amount of plastic surgery she’s had on her face since she was a teen.

Lip filler is the best thing she’s ever done

“I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t!” she said in response to a question about how her lips were a source of insecurity as a teen, which were noticeably thinner than the full lips she’s known for now.

“Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up I was always the most confident person in the room. I was the girl performing for everyone.

“I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t regret it. But I always thought I was cute,” the mother of two added.

And despite having no regrets about enhancing her features, Jenner says she sees herself in her children, which has made her love herself more.

“[My] daughter looks like me. I get to see my beauty in her, and it’s made me love myself more for sure. Beauty is always changing for me.”

In a 2015 episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, the then 17-year-old admitted to getting fillers, saying, “I have temporary lip fillers. It’s just an insecurity of mine and it’s what I wanted to do.” She initially said she was just using a lip liner to enhance her lips.

She later went on to say on Twitter that she wasn’t looking to encourage people to look like her, but rather to “not be afraid to experiment w your look.”

After her new look was revealed, fans of the reality star created a “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge”, with resulted in teens using anything from shot glasses to bottles to enhance their lips, but instead breaking blood vessels and causing bruising.

Jenner has since gone on to focus on creating her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics. Her first product was the viral Kylie Lip Kits, which took the internet by storm back in 2015.

Launched when she was just 18, she funded the launch of her company with $250,000, from her modeling work.

Makeup and beauty continue to be a focus in Jenner’s life, and she added that she’s rebranding her focus, shifting away from lips, and focusing on all aspects of makeup.

“I used to do a lot of limited-edition collections which are so fun, but my goal is to continue to elevate and extend the core line. This year and beyond we’re looking to do things we’ve never done before. You know, skin and eyes and mascara and all the essentials that you need.”
