‘Lost’ single released by RM/Namjoon: video, lyrics and meaning of the song
Taken from the ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’, Lost is the new single from RM (aka Kim Namjoon) who is also the lead singer of K-pop band BTS.
‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ is the brand new studio album (on Geffen Records) from RM (Rap Monster) which is the alias of BTS front man Kim Namjoon as he pursues his solo work in parallel to the South Korean boy band sensation.
The new record follows up previous work: 2018′s Mono and the 2022 release Indigo and is the 29-year-olds first musical venture since undergoing military service in the Korea Republic.
Lost is the first singles release from the album and is accompanied by a stunning video directed by Aube Perrie and features Namjoon ‘lost’ in a maze as he endeavours to find himself and sees the artist reveal what really is going inside his brain.
Musically, the track is reminiscent of Atlanta rap duo Outkast’s early output (Hey Ma) and very stylistically different to BTS repartoire.
Shortly after publication, the video had racked over 1.2 million views with the reaction from RM and BTS fans being positive with one fans claiming: Namjoon doesn’t simply create music but creates art.
