Machine Gun Kelly guitarist Sophie Lloyd addresses cheating allegations
Sophie Lloyd has worked with the singer since his ‘Mainstream Sellout Tour’ last May.
MGK’s alleged split from Megan Fox made headlines after Fox’s recent Instagram posts hinted at dishonesty. After one fan’s comment suggested MGK cheated with his guitarist Sophie Lloyd, Fox replied, “maybe I got with Sophie 🔥”.
Fox’s response quickly sent rumors flying, with the actress deactivating her Instagram shortly after. Her cryptic behavior quickly led fans to assume the singer cheated on Fox with his guitarist - but Lloyd was quick to set the record straight.
Lloyd’s management team denies allegations
“Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media,” Lloyd’s management team said in a statement to Page Six.
Lloyd began her career as a guitarist back in 2011 after her YouTube account propelled her to fame. The musician maintains that her relationship with MGK is strictly professional.
After her team’s statement, some fans rushed to her defense.
“I honestly didn’t believe this rumour from the start,” stated one fan on Twitter. “I don’t think Megan Fox would be joking about it if it was true.”
Neither Fox nor MGK has commented on the situation since Fox deactivated her Instagram.
Lloyd celebrates Valentine’s Day with drummer boyfriend, Christopher Painter
Though she may be close with the singer, Lloyd denies coming between MGK and his “Bloody Valentine” - instead, she showed off new Valentine’s photos with her long-term boyfriend on her Instagram story.
Lloyd has dated Christopher Painter (“The Painter”) for five years, and the two recently celebrated their anniversary on January 20, 2023.
Lloyd and Painter are incredibly supportive of one another and not afraid to publicly show their partner off on social media.
“You get me like no one else does and have been my rock for 5 solid years,” Painter captioned his recent anniversary Instagram post, along with a photo of her rocking out on stage.
