Madonna’s nod to Rosalía after hearing new album Lux: “You’re a visionary”
The queen of pop has been quick to shower praise on the 33-year-old’s new album via an Instagram story.
Rosalía is back. The Catalan artist is poised to launch her new album, Lux, which is released this Friday, November 7.
This is the 33-year-olds fourth studio album after a three year hiatus since her groundbreaking Motomami. The lead single from the new record Berghain which includes Bjork and Yves Tumor has created a stir already with it’s epic, powerful sound and is already a No. 1 single in the Spanish charts.
Numerous celebrities have already commented on Rosalía’s new music, including the queen of pop, Madonna, who did not hesitate to give her opinion about Lux, sharing the album cover through her Instagram stories.
The American singer wanted to offer words of appreciation and claimed: “I can’t stop listening to it (Lux). You are a true visionary”.
Many comparisons have already been drawn between Rosalía and Madonna over the use of religious iconography with many claiming that the new album is a ‘Like a Prayer’ for the 21st century
Lux’s album aims to be a true work of art, featuring lyrics in 13 different languages and combining genres such as flamenco, sacred music, electronic music, polyphony, and orchestral arrangements.
Björk, Yves Tumor, Escolanía de Montserrat, the London Symphony Orchestra, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and Yahritza all make guest appearances on the new studio work which gets a global release via Columbia Records.
