After becoming the oldest woman to ever feature on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, it looks as though Martha Stewart has a new admirer.

While speaking with Extra, the 81-year-old revealed that she received a ring following her cover shoot, though she didn’t share who it was from.

“I did get a ring...a beautiful ring of a nail wrapped around my finger and he said, ‘You nailed it’,” said Stewart.

The ring may have been a famous design from Cartier. The Juste Un Clou ring retails for anywhere from $1,320 to $14,200 depending on what metal and diamond is selected.

She was also asked whether her cover shoot has led to any dates, to which she replied: “That’s to be seen.”

How Stewart prepared for the shoot

Stewart made history by becoming the oldest woman to ever appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated 2023 Swimsuit edition earlier this week, modeling a plunging white one-piece.

When asked how she prepared for her shoot, Stewart shared details on what her diet and exercise routine looked like.

“Did my Pilates this morning. I do it three days a week… I got sort of addicted to it. I Iike it a lot, but I also have to do my horseback riding and the other nice things… hiking,” she said, while adding her thoughts on what her cover appearance means for women.

“It is breaking barriers and also encouraging other women to just rethink what they’re doing,” she said.

“I think that is really going to help a lot, and it’s also: you can look good at any age, you can feel good at any age, you should live well at any age. I think about living successfully, not aging well.”

Stewart rejects plastic surgery claims

Stewart’s comments come after she recently spoke with the New York Times, telling the outlet she is embracing her age and has no intention of getting plastic surgery.

“When you’re through changing, you’re through,” she said. When asked about Madonna, who’s received criticism for her plastic surgery, Stewart said she would never compare herself to the singer.

“I would never compare myself to someone like Madonna. She is a talent like no other,” Stewart responded.

“But as a performer she needs to keep reinventing herself. And it’s much more difficult for her to alter herself without altering her face. I don’t want to do that.”
