Matthew Perry, who played Chandler in ‘Friends’, dead at 54

Actor Matthew Perry, known for his prolific acting career, most notably in the famous series ‘Friends,’ has died at the age of 54, according to reports from TMZ.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet that the actor was found Saturday at a Los Angeles-area home after an apparent drowning, although the cause of death is yet to be confirmed or the circumstances.

Rescuers rushed to a call of cardiac arrest, and per TMZ, the actor was found in a hot tub at the house. In what appears, there were no drugs involved, nor did there seem to be signs of foul play. Perry had battled with addiction for the better part of a decade, a fact that he talks about in his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir.

Perry is known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit 90s sitcom, which ran for ten seasons. His character is one of the fan favorites thanks to his acting, mannerisms, and comedy.
