Mistaken identity as furious Real Madrid fans attack Olivia Rodrigo
The American singer-songwriter has come under fire with many disgruntled Madrid fans mistaking her for Rodri.
On Monday night in Paris, Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodrigo Hernandez aka Rodri was awarded the 2024 Men’s Player of the Year Ballon d’Or award. The event was shrouded with controversy after the Real Madrid delegation refused to travel to Paris after they discovered that their striker Vini Jr., who had been highly tipped to scoop the award had been pipped by the Spaniard.
Madrid fans fury
The decision was met with incredulity by Real Madrid fans around the world believing that their player had done enough to secure the vote with his contribution to Los Blancos winning the 2024 Champions League and Carlo Ancelotti’s side also bagging the 2023-24 LaLiga title.

Rodrigo Hernandez (Rodri) has no social media accounts with the ‘haters’ attacking the highest profile Rodrigo available seemingly unaware that Olivia has never played professional football. UK outlet Sky Sports also got in on the act too congratulating Olivia on ‘that win’ along with a trophy award.
