Osaka targeting 2024 Australian Open
Naomi Osaka has already declared that though she won’t be competing in the regular season this year, she would be back for the 2024 Australian Open, and the videos she has posted seemingly back up her claims. The pregnant athlete is already — or still — in training for the big championship.
The four-time Grand Slam champion recently posted three videos to her Instagram stories. In the videos, the singles tennis star is seen working it out on the courts, flexing her backhand and keeping an active stance, followed by another workout on the beach.
“Outside but barely,” Osaka wrote in the caption.

“Huge props!! Being active while pregnant is THE MOST exhausting,” one fan encouraged the athlete.
“Look at you gooo … they aren’t ready for 2024 Naomi,” touted another.
Looking to the future
When she announced her pregnancy, Osaka said she fully plans to keep up her training in order to make a big comeback. Taking care of herself during the pregnancy meant staying active and looking to the future.
As for training while pregnant, when done cautiously, it is ultimately what is best for a healthy, happy baby.
“I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future,” Osaka said.”One thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’.”
The tennis legend posted a photo of her ultrasound to make the announcement of her pregnancy.
“Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” Osaka wrote in the caption.
