The Hollywood actress, founder of a women’s soccer club, has dedicated a message to Spain’s number ‘10′ over the controversy of the Rubiales kiss.
Public opinion has rallied behind Jenni Hermoso after the controversial kiss she received from Luis Rubiales during the ceremony of the Australia and New Zealand World Cup. The number 10 of the World Cup winning national team publicly denounced that the “peck,” as the former president of the RFEF labeled it, was without her consent.
“I feel the need to condemn this event since I believe that no person, in any professional, sports, or social context, should be subjected to this kind of non-consensual behavior. I felt vulnerable and victimized by an impulsive, sexist, out-of-place act without any form of consent from my part,” she expressed in a statement.
These words reverberated around the world, prompting a host of well-known figures - most, if not all, of them - to show solidarity with the international footballer. Singer Alejandro Sanz, who acknowledged that Jenni “unintentionally changed the world in an instant,” and Lola Índigo, who paused her concert to dedicate a few words to the footballer, are among the celebrities who have reacted to this controversy.
The latest to join the list is Natalie Portman. The Hollywood actress shared an image of the news story from The New York Times about this issue on her Instagram profile. “I stand with Jenni Hermoso. It’s over,” she wrote using the viral hashtag #seacabo. This post was also shared by Hermoso on her profile.

The club’s mission is to provide women as role models for both boys and girls, as she affirmed on the day she announced the establishment of the team. “It’s such an amazing sport because it’s a team sport,” she stated.
