Nate Bargatze laughs with friends about photo of astronauts: “Is there a dress code in space?”
The Grammy-nominated comedian followed the operation to bring stranded astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams back to Earth.

Nate Bargatze was one of the millions of viewers worldwide who anxiously followed the SpaceX mission to rescue NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who had been stranded on the International Space Station for the past nine months.
Mission to rescue NASA astronauts stranded in Space
Wilmore and Williams originally planned to go to space for just eight days but found themselves stuck on the station after their Boeing Starliner spacecraft started experiencing technical issues, including helium leaks and thruster issues.
The pair finally made it back to Earth last Tuesday, when their Crew Dragon capsule splashed down off the Florida coast.
A couple of days earlier, NASA had broadcast images of the SpaceX Crew-10 capsule docking with the International Space Station - a moment that Bargatze and his pals Brian Bates, Aaron Weber and Dusty Slay chatted about on the comedian’s Nateland channel.
Don Pettit‘s ISS uniform: cargo shorts and a polo top
One curious observation was the choice of attire worn by astronaut and ISS veteran Don Pettit. “Why’s that one guy got shorts on?”
“You’re going to Space, at least put some jeans on!” Weber chuckled.
“I don’t know,” Bargatze replied. “Dress it up a little bit. Wearing cargo shorts up in Space! We’re taking a picture for the world”
Dusty Slay noticed something else that was unusual about Pettit. “What’s on his leg? Why’s that not floating away?” referring to what looks like an electronic console strapped to the astronaut’s left leg.
“Is there a dress code in space?” Bargatze asked in the comments section of an Instagram post. “Dusty and Nate looking at each other… they know what each other is thinking without having to say a word… FRIENDS!!!" came one reply. “I’d wear shorts in space… if it existed," another commentator drolly observed.
