At the 2023 Latin American Music Awards, co-host Natti Natasha took to the stage to perform her new song, ‘La Falta Que Me Haces’ (How Much I Miss You) dedicated to her fiancé Raphy Pina.

The emotional ballad found the singer doing away with backup dancers and contagious beats, singing the song from a floating platform with a backdrop of the moon behind her, as she sang about missing a loved one.

An emotional dedication

“To all the people who need this song, I didn’t know I needed it until the day we created it,” she told the audience in Spanish after her performance, holding back tears.

“In case you’re watching Raphy, we all love you.”

She shared a post on Instagram with a heartfelt message.

“Music has always been the means to express everything I feel and more in a moment as difficult to explain as this,” she wrote, translated from Spanish.

“I don’t usually talk much, being my way of not only taking care of my feelings but also those of my family, friends, and all the people who love Raphy.

“In this song, I did not want to keep anything to myself and I opened my heart, so you could all understand a little of what I feel and what I am experiencing right now

“Crying is part of our nature, even more so when you’re crazy in love, keep fighting for pure love,” she added.

What happened to Raphy Pina?

Natasha’s fiancé and manager, Raphy Pina, who also manages Daddy Yankee, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison after he was found guilty of illegal possession of firearms in May 2022. In addition, he was ordered to pay a $150,000 sanction.

Pina is serving his time in a Florida jail. The cover art for the single was reportedly drawn by a detainee serving time at the same jail as Pina.

Natasha and Pina share daughter Viva Isabelle, born in May 2021 after the couple struggled with fertility issues.
