At Manchester Pride, the Canadian star took the stage in an oversized outfit paired with a T-shirt featuring the outline of a woman’s body. She also wore a mini skirt emblazoned with the words “Better than never” - a playful twist on “better than ever” - aimed squarely at those who have criticized her recent physical changes.

Furtado on surgery, skincare routine and online attacks

The moment came not long after Furtado addressed the speculation head-on in an interview with People. “I’ve never had facial or body surgery, or any enhancements, except for veneers on my upper teeth — and that was recent,” she explained.

Instead, she credits her appearance to a long-standing skincare routine. “My youthful glow comes from an old-school facialist whose serums and creams I’ve been using since I was 20,” she said.

Earlier this year, Furtado also pushed back against online attacks. In January, she revealed that her image had been misused to promote bogus health and beauty products. “I had to take legal action against some scammers selling online services based on fake health and beauty claims about me,” she said.

By turning the stage into her platform, Furtado made one thing clear: she’s not only unbothered by the criticism — she’s thriving.
