New ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ trailer showcases three mysterious characters and confirms release date
Meet Glorio, Majin and Gomah, Goku’s allies and enemies in the next anime of the series.
Is there a better way to start the weekend? The new Dragon Ball Daima trailer has just dropped, confirming its release date (October 2024) and introducing the cast of protagonists and new characters we will meet in this next installment of the adventure.
Dragon Ball Daima to go on general release in the Fall
A video that shows an important and unexpected role for Kaio-shin, reveals the name of the child form of Goku and company (Mini) and gives a glimpse of some of the worlds and anime villains Without further ado, enjoy:
Among the new characters are Glorio (the one on the bottom left), who appears on a plane before Goku (Mini) and company; Majin, the masked man who wears a cape (the central image behind these lines); and Gomah, whose intense gaze at our protagonists from the shadows is most suspicious:
Next to them are Goku (Mini) and Kai (Mini), who have become small as part of a conspiracy and find themselves involved in “a 'Dragon Ball' world that no one has seen before ”.
Here is an art with all the characters revealed in the trailer as well as those already announced and known. From left to right we find: Gomah, Majin the Masked Man, Glorio the airplane pilot, Goku (Mini), Kaio-shin (Mini), Vegeta (Mini) and Piccolo (Mini). All of them coming from the mind of Akira Toriyama.
And last, but not least, we leave you the official poster of the series. Starring Goku (Mini) and Kaio-shin (Mini) on the back of a dragon, it shows both characters undertaking the adventure and in the background, three unknown worlds and some of the new characters that we will meet on this occasion. The official 'Dragon Ball Daima' account asks us a question: what will they do in the story and how will they get involved in Goku's odyssey?
Creator Akira Toriyama gave details about Dragon Ball Daima, in an open letter to fans: “Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. In order to fix things, they’ll head off to a new world! It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world,” he wrote.
“Since Goku has to make up for his petite size, he uses his Power Pole to fight, something not seen in a long time. I came up with the story and settings as well as a lot of the designs. I’m actually putting a lot more into this than usual. Things will unfold that close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball World. Hope you all enjoy these different-from-usual battles that are cute and powerful.”
As the new trailer shows, Goku and his friends will have a diminutive look in this new series. We eagerly await this new anime, Dragon Ball Daima will finally be released in Fall 2024.
