New music set for release in May 2023

Avid music fans will be happy to know that the month of May sees no shortage of new music releases.

New music highlights

Artists including Ed Sheeran, The Smashing Pumpkins, Animal Collective, Celine Dion, Daft Punk, Jonas Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, The Lemonheads, Lewis Capaldi, Moor Mother, Paul Simon, and Sufjan Stevens are scheduled to release new albums this month.

Kesha’s big comeback

Kesha has announced she is coming out of her industry hiatus to release an album on May 19. The singer confessed she suffered a lot of anxiety over the course of the last three years since the pandemic began, and she was “spiraling a lot back then”.

‘Kesha: Gag Order’ signals a breakthrough for the singer, as she has poured all her creative energy into the project.

“I really dug into my uglier emotions,” Kesha told Rolling Stone. “[It’s] the most intimate thing I’ve ever created.”
