NFL great Tom Brady raised eyebrows when he was spotted at South Korean girl group Blackpink’s concert in New Jersey on Friday.

Decked out informally in a white T-shirt and black cap, the former quarterback was snapped by surprised fellow concert-goers, before later revealing that he had been accompanying his 10-year-old daughter, Vivian, and a group of her pals.

Replying to a Twitter user’s photo of him in the crowd at MetLife Stadium, Brady posted on the platform, which has been rebranded as X: “This is the most ‘dad takes his daughter and her friends to a concert’ picture ever taken.”

Brady just back from safari with kids

Brady’s trip to see Blackpink with his daughter, one of two children he has with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, came days after he took to social media with details of his safari in Tanzania with Vivian and his 15-year-old son Jack, whose mother is Brady’s former girlfriend, the actor Bridget Moynahan.

“What an incredible trip to the most amazing continent… Africa,” the 46-year-old wrote. “It was another special reminder that life is TRULY about relationships and memories… This past week of my birthday I have had much time to reflect and be grateful for all the incredible blessings. I couldn’t imagine growing up as a boy in San Mateo that my life would become what it has…

“I’ve experience quite a bit in the first 45 years I have lived, and what I have loved most is the people who I have shared the most life-changing events with… my children, my family, my loved ones and friends and all of you have added so much to this incredible/adventurous life.”

“Being a Dad is the best thing in my life”

Since his divorce from Bündchen last year, Brady has on several occasions highlighted how important family is to him. On Father’s Day in June, the seven-time Super Bowl winner wrote in a heartfelt social-media message:

Being a Dad is the best thing in my life. I have learned so much about what it takes from my Dad and to be able to pass that on to Jack, Benny and Viv means the world to me. They have taught me how to be present (still working on this daily) and cherish every moment (mostly) that we have as a family, because that’s what matters most.

“Their love for others and constant selflessness makes me so proud to be their dad, and I know those traits come directly from everyone who is part of their life. Thank you Dad, for being you, and thank you to my three amazing kids, for giving me the pleasure of being your Dad.”

In addition to Vivian, Brady and Bündchen share a son, Benjamin, who is 13.
