‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has been one of the most anticipated films in the industry for years. The movie directed by Shawn Levy and boasts a cast with the likes of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is set for a global release on 25 July.

The film sees Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) leading a quieter life, far from his past as Deadpool, however everything changes course when an external danger threatens to destroy everything he loves. Faced with this, Wade has to journey to another universe, in search of a alternate version of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to help him save his world.

Although this is the third official installment of the Deadpool saga, there are other previous releases related to the Deadpool timeline that can help you better understand the plot.

What is the order of the ‘Deadpool’ movies?

The saga officially begins with ‘Deadpool’ (2016), however, the character Wade Wilson is introduced in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ (2009) as an alternative version of Wilson is introduced as a mutant hunter called ‘Weapon XI’.

The story continues in ‘No Good Deed’ (2017), which is a short film that was presented at the theaters along with the release of ‘Logan’ (2017) and served as a preview of ‘Deadpool 2′ (2018), the next movie in chronological order.

Subsequently there is ‘Once Upon a Deadpool’ (2018), which is the PG-13 version of its predecessor and shows content not seen in ‘Deadpool 2′. Finally, there is ‘Deadpool and Korg React’ (2021), which was originally intended as an advertisement for ‘Free Guy’ by Ryan Reynolds.
