Police confirm brawl between two families at Disney World in Florida
A fight broke out at the Disney park over a photo opportunity.
There has been a physical altercation at Disney World in Florida. Officials report the police were called to sort out a disagreement-turned-brawl that emerged from a photo op.
One person was injured, though the individual was treated at the park and declined to press charges. Two people from the second family were forced to leave the theme park.
What happened at Disney World?
The disagreement arose Monday when two families were trying to get a photo at the same location, the 100th anniversary landmark at the park’s gate.
As per a FOX 35 report, the fight happened at approximately 2:30 pm local time at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park in Florida.
One family was having a photo taken under the sign, while another, larger family was waiting in the wings, according to local deputies. However, a member from the second group had moved into the picture, and the first family asked that person to step aside so they could take the picture.
An individual from the latter group allegedly began “throwing punches” at that point. The police said they forced two individuals from the larger family to leave the park.
There is video footage
A video on the outlet’s website clearly shows a brawl involving several people in front of the 100th anniversary landmark.
“Did you see how it broke out?” one person can be heard from behind the camera. “I was just walking right here, and I saw it just happening,” another disembodied voice responds as they continue to capture footage of the fight.
