Prince Harry and Meghan Markle brutally mocked on South Park

The creators of ‘South Park’ narrowed in on their latest target Wednesday night on Comedy Central — Prince Harry and his American-born wife, Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry stepped away from Royal duties, and indeed, any association with the Royal Family at all, in January 2020. Since then, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done nothing but aggravate Buckingham Palace, having released a revealing docuseries on Netflix ‘Harry and Meghan’ in 2022 and Prince’s Harry’s explosive memoir, ‘Spare’, released in January this year.
‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who came in fourth on the list of the World’s Top 10 Entertainers released this week by Forbes, taking home $160 million in 2022, hilariously mocked the royal couple in Wednesday night’s episode.
The Prince of Canada and his wife
The episode is called “The Worldwide Privacy Tour”, in which a ginger-haired Prince and his dark-haired wife are portrayed as Canadian royalty — meant to be the Sussexes.
The ‘South Park’ creators, who recently signed a $935 million six-year deal with Paramount, famously create characters from Canada to be distinguished from other characters on the show by a mouth that is slightly detached from the head, and the Prince and his wife on the show have the same characteristic.
“The Worldwide Privacy Tour”
The royal couple are introduced on a talk show called ‘Good Morning Canada’, where they are set to talk about the Prince’s new book, ‘WAAAGH’, which is a reference to ‘Spare’, a book in which the 38-year-old complains about his family and upbringing.
The talk show introduces the prince and his wife by referencing the recent passing of the Queen.
“It has been several months now since our beloved queen has died,” he announced. “All Canadians are finding it hard to go on, all Canadians that is except for our first guest, the prince and his wife.”
Once they settle down with the host, they appear to be happy to be on the show — until the host backs them into a corner.
“You’ve lived a life with the royal family, you’ve had everything handed to you, but you say your life has been hard, and now you’ve written all about it in your new book ‘WAAAGH,’” the Canadian morning host commented.
“Yes, that’s right —” the prince started before he was interrupted by his wife.
“I was totally like ‘You should write a book ‘cause your family’s like stupid and then so are like journalists,’” she said.
The host, deeming it ironic that the couple hates journalists but wrote an expository book, concluded that actually makes the prince a journalist himself.
“We just want to be normal people. All this attention is so hard!” the wife protested.
“The Worldwide Privacy Tour”
In response to all the attention, the royal duo chant “We want privacy,” and hold up signs that say, “STOP LOOKING AT US!” and “WE WANT OUR PRIVACY!!!”
They then embarked on a “Worldwide Privacy Tour” where they traveled from Canada to France, India, Australia, and finally landed in New York. After touring across the US, the Prince and his wife go to Colorado, where they settle in the small town of South Park.
“It’s so quiet and empty here,” the Prince’s wife said to him. “If we moved here, then people would think we’re really serious about wanting to be normal.”
So they unload their private jet and move into a house across the street from ‘South Park’ main character Kyle Broflovski, who later complains about his new neighbors to his friends at school.
“You guys, I am so sorry. I totally was gonna play with you guys online, but the prince of Canada and his wife moved in across the street from me… and then they kept trying to get me to buy their stupid book.”
