The Prince and Princess of Wales are keeping it real amid the excitement of King Charles’ upcoming coronation — the couple went out on a date Thursday afternoon to Dog & Duck Pub in Soho, London. They even took the London subway, the ‘tube’ to the establishment.

Prince William and Middleton met with the tavern’s staff to hear how the pub is preparing for the imminent overflow of customers to come on the day of the coronation.

King Charles’ crowning ceremony takes place May 6.

Princess Kate and the heir to the throne took the London Underground to Tottenham Court Road station, where they walked down Frith Street, which is where the Dog & Duck is located.

The Prince and Princess of Wales posted a photo of the two of them with one member of their security detail on the train. Middleton wears a long, red Eponine London coat, a white skirt, and white pumps. She sits easily in her chair, in conversation with her husband and their companion.

Jumping on the Elizabeth Line to Soho!” the caption reads. The subway line the royal couple happened to be on was named after the late Queen Elizabeth, Prince William’s grandmother.

Getting ready for the royal coronation

The Waleses visited a handful of other hospitality establishments while in Soho, chatting about their preparations for the weekend’s events.

The couple emphasized the Dog & Duck Pub as they celebrate their 150th year in business.

The restaurant, just one mile from Buckingham Palace, is expecting a huge boom in clientele throughout the day.

Reportedly, there will be hundreds of thousands of people traveling to the city in anticipation of the event, as per the BBC.
