Prince William and Princess Kate’s 2023 BAFTA red carpet looks

Prince William and Princess Kate made an elegant return to the red carpet at the 2023 BAFTA Awards.

This comes after the Prince and Princess of Wales recently took a short break from royal duties to be with their children. They reportedly brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the set of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’.

Since then, fans have been waiting in anticipation for the royal couple to make another joint appearance and to showcase some iconic looks.

Dressed to impress

Among all the glamorous celebrities, the Princess of Wales stood out.

Kate wore a gorgeous asymmetric white gown that was reminiscent of old Hollywood. The dress had a fitted waist and flowing skirt with additional detailing on the shoulder.

It was designed by Alexander McQueen.

To compliment the dress, Kate wore a long pair of black velvet gloves by Cornelia James, Aquazzura pumps, large floral earrings from Zara and a matching black clutch also by Alexander McQueen.

Her makeup was kept simple, yet effective, with a pop of color for her eyeshadow and a flattering shade of pink blush on the cheeks.

As for William, he wore a black velvet tuxedo, bow tie and black loafer shoes. It’s a look he’s worn a few times before, such as the Royal Variety Performance in 2021.

First BAFTA appearance since 2020

Since 2010, Prince William has been President of BAFTA with Princess Kate joining him in 2017.

This year marks their first BAFTAs appearance since 2020. The couple were forced to cancel last-minute in 2021 due to the passing of William’s grandfather, Prince Phillips, the Duke of Edinburgh.

They also could not make an appearance in 2022 due to “diary constraints”.

The BAFTA Awards were held on February 19 at London’s Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
