Puma announces return of Fenty X Puma collab with Rihanna

Look out RiRi fans, the superstar is collaborating her Fenty X brand with sportswear fashion giant Puma once again.

Rihanna, now America’s youngest self-made female billionaire, has worked with Puma before, dating back to 2014, and is set to join forces with the athletic wear company for another round.

Puma announced on Wednesday the company’s new agreement with the ‘Diamonds’ singer and entrepreneur in an Instagram post featuring both the Fenty and Puma symbols with the words, “She’s back” described across the top.

“Coming soon,” Puma wrote in the caption, offering no further details.

The nine-time Grammy winner herself has yet to comment on the announcement.

Fans react to the news

Fans are ecstatic about the new RiRi/Puma merchandise promised to be available “soon”, as they reacted with comments. The announcement was met with excitement from fellow celebs and fans alike in the comments section of the post.

‘You People’ actress Lauren London, who previously collaborated with the sportswear brand herself, alongside her late partner, Nipsey Hussle, reacted to the post with several fire emoticons.

“OMG IT WAS ONE OF HER BEST COOPERATIONS WITH BRAND. can’t wait to see what’s coming,” commented on fan.

“This a dream I love Fenty x puma I have items or every drop!” said another.

“YES! YES! YES! Take all my money!!” chimed in an enthusiastic supporter.

Rihanna and Puma history

Rihanna first worked with Puma in 2014 as the company’s creative director.

In a press release at the time, Rihanna was to “work with Puma to design and customize classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio.”

Since then, she has released several collections with Fenty X and Puma, most recently in 2017, simultaneous with the launch of her extremely successful Fenty Beauty makeup line.

The most popular items the powerhouse duo has concocted are the award-winning Fenty X Puma Creepers sneakers and fur slides.

Rihanna the fashion mogul

In 2019 Rihanna became the first black woman to head a fashion house when she joined LVMH to design her own Fenty fashion line — Fenty being her last name.

The singer also created her lingerie company Savage x Fenty as she added skincare to her makeup line with the Fenty Skin products.
