Christmas has arrived, with cities donning their finest decorations and streets filled with the distinctive aroma of the holiday season. The atmosphere is enriched with famous holiday songs that are revived each year for us to sing and dance to with family and friends. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a prime example, although its artist, Mariah Carey, is currently going through a delicate personal moment due to relationship woes.

Mariah’s 14 years of separation

Mariah Carey (54) and Bryan Tanaka (40) have reportedly ended their seven-year romance, as exclusively reported by Page Six. The reason? The publication notes that the age difference between the two led to differing future plans. Tanaka had the short-term goal of starting a family with Carey, but she was not interested because “she is not at that point in her life.”

Carey already has two children (Moroccan and Monroe) from her marriage with Nick Cannon, while Tanaka, at 40, is not yet a father.

Rumours of Carey-Tanaka breakup

“He wants to have a family. She’s not there. He wants to start having his own life.” A few months ago, some social media users speculated that the couple might have ended their relationship due to a decrease in their public appearances together. Notably, Tanaka was absent from the start of the “Merry Christmas To All!” tour, unlike previous years.

Carey, the artist behind the Christmas hit, raised concerns in an interview with People, where she admitted that that year had not been the best for her. “I’ve been waiting for this Christmas all year. Since last year, because it wasn’t the best.”

This love story began when Tanaka joined Mariah Carey’s team as a dancer in 2006. Ten years later, they started a romantic relationship, which briefly ended but was then rekindled, continuing until this year. So far, neither party has confirmed or denied being in the midst of a breakup.
