With less than two weeks left until the Super Bowl, Rihanna is gearing up for her major comeback. The ‘Umbrella’ singer has reportedly been preparing for her Super Bowl LVII halftime show, which will see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Set to take place on February 12 in Arizona, this will be Rihanna’s first performance since the 2018 Grammy Awards, making it her first show in five years.

‘She is ready for the Super Bowl. She is rehearsing right now. She’s very excited, ready, and focused,’ a source told People.

“She can’t wait to kill it,” the source added.

The singer has been keeping busy while away from the music world, as she welcomed her first baby with Boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May 2022.

“Last year was the most amazing year for her. She took a long break to focus on her baby boy,” continues the unnamed source.

Rihanna’s return to the stage

Rihanna’s long-awaited return to music began in October when she released her first new song since 2016, titled ‘Life Me Up.’

The song was produced for Marvel Studios’ film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who previously starred in the movie franchise.

Apple Music involvement

In January, Apple Music shared a teaser for the Halftime Show with Rihanna, featuring a photo of the singer posed in a black and white room wearing an oversized neon yellow coat.

Earlier this week, Apple Music also announced the launch of ‘Rihanna’s Road to Halftime’, a music catalog segment and commentary that celebrates Rihanna’s career and upcoming performance.

“Rihanna is one of the most prolific artists of our time, and we, along with her many fans across the globe, cannot wait to see her take the stage at the first Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats.

“We are excited to celebrate Rihanna, and give her fans a new way to experience her music with Spatial Audio, as well as exclusive content from Apple Music.”

Rihanna will be interviewed by Nadeska Alexis on February 9, 2023 at 10 a.m MST at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show press conference.

Viewers can watch live or on-demand on Apple Music, on @AppleMusic’s TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter or the NFL Network.
