Rumer Willis celebrates her baby shower surrounded by family
The Willis family is experiencing some extreme highs and lows, as a baby is on the way while grandfather Bruce Willis struggles with dementia.
Rumer Willis had her baby shower on Sunday, held by her mother, Demi Moore, and her sisters, 31-year-old Scout and 29-year-old Tallulah. The 34-year-old wore a tailored white dress, fine, gold jewelry, and her long, red curls loose around her shoulders.
The 34-year-old mother-to-be and singer Derek Richard Thomas announced in December they are having a baby in a beautiful, black-and-white picture on Instagram.
Though the party was full of flowers, gifts, food, and loved ones, there was one significant thing missing – the presence of Rumer Willis’ father, Bruce Willis, who has recently been diagnosed with dementia.

Thomas joined Rumer Willis at the shower, with the musician wearing an off-white button-up shirt to match the mother of his baby, as did Emma Heming, Bruce Willis’ second wife, and the two children they share, 10-year-old Mabel, and Evelyn, who is eight.
Demi Moore and Emma Heming Willis have made efforts to have an amicable friendship, as the Moore has joined in on numerous family occasions, including father day, Willis’ birthday, and even for a period of time during the coronavirus lockdowns.
Demi Moore wore a pink and orange print paisley dress and mingled with Emma, wearing khaki slacks and a white blouse.
The ladies of Willis/Moore did not hold back with the food spread. An array of cheese and fresh fruit, along with other snacks, were arranged elegantly among colorful flower arrangements and an abundance of gifts.
Rumer and Derek Richard Thomas announced the pregnancy last year
Rumer Willis and her partner, Derek Richard Thomas, announced they were expecting a child in December 2022, after keeping their relationship quiet.
Posting a black and white photo of the couple with Rumer’s baby bump to Instagram to announce the new baby on the way, the couple received an outpouring of support from friends, celebrities, and family.
“LoveYOU,” Demi Moore wrote in the comments, as Scout added, “I feel so good, What a joyful hard launch party. I’m weep.”
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton wrote, “Congratulations Rumer! So happy for you!”
