The 95th Oscars returns to the old-fashioned way of presenting
The Oscars organization made some changes for the 2023 show, specifically as it pertains to structure. Last year a decision was made to allow for pre-taping of eight category winner announcements, which did not go over well within the industry, or among fans.
Now all 23 categories will be presented in real time from the Oscars stage.
The update puts the excitement back into the event, with the spotlight focusing again on the moment when presenters announce the winners.
The Academy posted the first round of presenters to their official Twitter account .
“Meet your first slate of presenters for the 95th Oscars,” the academy wrote in the caption. “Tune into ABC to watch the Oscars LIVE on Sunday, March 12th at 8e/5p! #Oscars95.”
