Selena Gomez returns to social media to react to Lizzo’s new blue highlights

Starlet Selena Gomez returned to social media Thursday to comment on her friend Lizzo’s new blue highlights.

Selena Gomez, a two-time Grammy nominee, has an on-again-off-again relationship with social media.

The star returned recently after a four-year break and skyrocketed to the top spot as the most-followed woman on Instagram, only to leave again a few days later after a dispute with Hailey Bieber.

The blue streak

The songstress broke her latest hiatus to compliment Lizzo on her blue hair in a Tik Tok video Thursday.

The 30-year-old singer dropped a blue heart emoticon in the caption of a video of Lizzo with Gomez’s audio clip of herself describing a time when she too went blue, as she had an aqua streak in her hair in 2007.

“‘I’ve got some blue going on!” Gomez says in the clip as Lizzo shows off her new ‘do. “I like a little edge, a little pop in my hair, so I wanted to add something different, especially for the Teen Vogue party.”

The video then shows Lizzo preparing for a show in Milan, wearing a comfy robe and getting her makeup done with blue eyeshadow, lots of blush, and Marilyn Monroe-esque curls.

Now Gomez is back again, having warned that she might return to her online presence again soon since the public Bieber fall-out also roped in Gomez’s “best friend”, Taylor Swift.

During recent strife online, Gomez lept to Swift’s defense. “Sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game,” she wrote on TikTok.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been friends dating back to 2008 when each of the young singers were dating two different Jonas Brothers.
