Selena Gomez showed her appreciation for longtime best friend Taylor Swift on social media after Gomez and her little sister, Gracie, attended Swift’s show in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.

Gomez thanked Swift for her show on Instagram, where the sisters dressed up as different eras of Swift’s music.

“Thank you bestie for having me and my sissy transport into your mystical, euphoric and special world. Proud to know you! love you forever and always,” Gomez said in her caption.

Excitement for “Taylena”

Fans of both singers excitedly responded to Gomez’s post.

“I love this friendship,” said Lyss.

The official MTV account commented: “i’ll third wheel this friendship for the rest of my life”.

Another fan wrote: “Taylena reminding me of real friendship,” and someone else pointed out that “she said forever and always.”

At Saturday’s show, each of the sisters dressed as different eras of Swift’s music, with Gomez taking on the ‘Folklore’ era, and her little sister Swift’s ‘Speak Now’ era.

Excited fans captured videos of Gomez and Gracie at the show, as they sang and danced in the VIP section of the AT&T Stadium.

Swift also gifted Gracie the hat off her head during her performance of ‘22′ when she came up to the stage.

Gomez and Swift’s protective friendship

“There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don’t say that in a basic way,” Swift said about Gomez in a Wall Street Journal cover story in 2020.

“I knew from when I met her, I would always have her back. In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.”

It seems the feeling is mutual. In February, Gomez came to Swift’s defense after a video resurfaced on TikTok of Hailey Bieber pretending to gag when the singer was mentioned on the show ‘Drop The Mic’ which Bieber co-hosted with Method Man.

Gomez responded: “Sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”
