Rumors are swirling that Formula One driver Carlos Sainz may have played a role in sparking a potential romance between Lewis Hamilton and Shakira, as the Colombian singer and British star have been spending more and more time together this summer.
Their public outings, including a boat trip in Miami and dining with friends in Barcelona, have fueled speculation about their relationship. However, sources indicate that they are currently keeping things light-hearted and flirtatious.
Shakira appears to be taking her time before fully committing to a new relationship since her separation from soccer star Gerard Pique in June 2022 after being together for 11 years.
On the other hand, Hamilton has been linked to several famous women, such as Rita Ora and Nicki Minaj, following his split from longtime girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger after seven years together.
Spanish sports journalist Pip Estrada suggests that Sainz, a close friend of Hamilton, may have played matchmaker between the Formula One driver and the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer.
“It’s because of their mutual friends,” Pipi (Jose Manuel Estrada) explained. “Shakira knows that Hamilton appreciates her music, and suddenly she becomes interested in Formula One, leading to their connection.”
