Shakira surprises with pop-up concert in Times Square
In a surprising post on her official Instagram account, Latin pop star Shakira announced that she will be holding a pop-up concert on Tuesday, March 26th in Times Square, New York. The concert is of course in support of the artist’s latest album, ‘Las Mujeras Ya No Lloran’ which is her first album in seven years.
Indeed, since her appearance on Monday’s edition of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she hinted at an announcement, fans have been waiting patiently to learn what the ‘Hips don’t lie’ singer had in store. “that’s what I’d like. You know how it goes, first you present an album and then you go on tour,” she said when asked about the possibility of connecting her new album to a tour. With that in mind, the Colombian sensation is now set to give her fans a taste of what they’ve been waiting for.
“After life’s ups and downs, and a long time working on this album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is finally out now worldwide. Thank you all for the incredible support you have given me. Without you, I wouldn’t have made it - we have crafted this album together. You are the best pack a shewolf could have asked for. I love you,” Shakira said in her post.
