Sofía Vergara posts holiday photos with Justin Saliman: who is the actor’s boyfriend?
‘Modern Family’ actor Sofía Vergara has shared snaps of her summer vacation in Italy, including images of her orthopaedic surgeon beau.
Actor Sofía Vergara has taken to social media to share some holiday snaps - including photographs of boyfriend Justin Saliman.
Vergara’s 35 million Instagram followers were this week treated to a series of photos from her summer break in Italy. Among them were images of Saliman, a Los Angeles-based orthopaedic surgeon, kicking back on an outdoor deck in what appears to be a rural setting. In further photos taken in other Italian spots, Saliman can be seen posing alongside pals.
Earlier this month, Vergara had posted snaps of herself together with Saliman as she celebrated her birthday at a snazzy bash in LA. The Colombian, whose divorce from actor Joe Manganiello was finalised in February, turned 52 on 10 July.
How long have Vergara and Saliman been dating?
Rumours of romance between Vergara and Saliman first surfaced in October last year, when they were seen together at reality star Kim Kardashian’s birthday celebration, at an Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. Since then, the pair have been spotted out for dinner together on further occasions, although they have generally sought to keep their romance out of the glare of the cameras.
In April, a source told the celebrity news outlet Entertainment Tonight that Vergara’s relationship with Saliman was becoming “more serious”. “They’ve been having a great time together and really enjoy each other’s company,” the insider said. “Justin loves Sofia’s enthusiasm, character, sense of humor, and how hard working she is. They love to have fun dinner date nights and have a natural chemistry whether it’s just the two of them out or if they’re with friends too.”
Who is Justin Saliman?
On his website, Saliman describes himself as a “knee preservation specialist” and a “healthcare thought leader”. He is the founder of the medical firm Ceterix Orthopaedics, and the creator of NovoStitch Pro, a system for repairing the meniscus, a cartilage in the knee.
Saliman is Ivy League educated, having completed a sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. During his time at Stanford, he treated players at NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers, as well as members of the college’s football team. Reported to originally be from Denver, he also has a degree from the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine.
Saliman was previously married to the actor Bree Turner, who is best known for her role on the TV series Grimm. The former couple, who divorced in 2018, have two children together.
