Sofía Vergara talks about the changes in her life after divorce from Joe Maganiello

Sofía Vergara recognizes that her life has experienced “many changes” since the separation from Joe Manganiello after 7 years of marriage. The Modern Family actress shared that she is having an “interesting year” and reflected on how she is taking the ups and downs in stride.

“A lot of changes, a lot of good things and crazy things and bad things happen and good things happen,” she told Entertainment Tonight about her life right now. “You know, what makes life so entertaining and interesting,” she added.

“I can not complain. I’ve had a very, very good time. There is always time for more good things to come.”

In July, the actress and the actor announced that they made the decision to divorce after seven years of marriage. The couple announced their decision in a joint statement shared with Page Six.

“As two people who love and care about each other very much, we politely ask that our privacy be respected at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the statement said.

Two days after the announcement, TMZ reported that Joe Manganiello had officially filed for divorce from Sofia Vergara, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Court documents, obtained by the outlet, confirmed that both had a prenuptial agreement and each will maintain their own assets accumulated during the union. The date of separation is listed as July 2, 2023.

As for the reasons, a source told Page Six: “Sofia and Joe have been drifting apart for a while and are distancing themselves from each other to contemplate their future.” According to TMZ, one of the main reasons Joe filed for divorce was his conflict over having children, since he wanted them and the actress did not.

On the other hand, a source close to the couple told the Daily Mail that Manganiello’s decision to get sober had affected his marriage. “He was warned about this when he started dating her and again before he married her,” the source said.

Two months after Manganiello filed for divorce, several reports indicate that he has already found a new romance. According to People, the 46-year-old actor is “casually dating” Winning Time actress Caitlin O’Connor.
