Update:

Sting spent much of 2024 on the road and set off on his 3.0 world tour in September - his first extensive jaunt across the United States since the 2019 My Songs Tour in which he played 86 dates, including a residency at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

Sting to receive lifetime achievement award

The former Police frontman is used to hard work and the rigors of the road but a bout of ill health has forced him to rejig his schedule.

He was due to attend the 2025 Bass Magazine Awards in Santa Ana, California tomorrow night, performing at the end of the ceremony and receiving a lifetime achievement award from jazz musician Christian McBride and perform.

However, he has pulled out of that engagement and postponed three of the upcoming dates on the US leg of the tour.

Which Sting shows have been postponed?

A statement posted on his official Instgram page explained: “On advisement from his doctor, due to illness, it is with sincere regret that Sting must cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday and postpone his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, AZ (originally scheduled for January 24) to June 1 and Wheatland, CA (originally scheduled for January 26) to May 28 as well as his performance at the Cherrytree Music Company’s 20th anniversary, now taking place May 29. Fans should retain their tickets for the postponed shows, as they will be honored on the new dates. Sting sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and extends his gratitude to the fans for their understanding”.

According to the musician’s tour itinerary, his next show will be at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with Billy Joel on February 8. That will be followed by a month’s break, until he returns at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse on April 11.
