Sydney Sweeney has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most versatile and in-demand actresses. The American actor and producer, who shot to fame in the hit series “Euphoria,” has appeared in nearly 20 projects since 2019. In the coming months alone, she has multiple releases lined up, including the Christy Martin biopic, the survival thriller “Eden” directed by Ron Howard, the comedic western “Americana,” and the adaptation of the bestseller “The Maid.” She is also confirmed for three films set to release throughout 2027.
Bollywood comes knocking for Sweeney
Her recent controversy as the face of American Eagle’s latest campaign hasn’t slowed her momentum or the high-profile offers coming her way. According to The Sun, one of the most eye-catching proposals for the “Anything But You” star is to headline a Bollywood film for a staggering payday.
A cross-cultural love story
The Indian studio is reportedly offering her the role of a famous American woman who finds love during her first Bollywood experience. The base offer is $48 million, with an additional $13 million available through collaborations with various brands.
“Money isn’t everything” for Sweeney
“While the project is intriguing and could further elevate her global profile, money isn’t everything. She already has several projects underway, but this could push her into new territory as an actress,” sources close to Sweeney told The Sun. The star has not completely ruled out the opportunity, leaving fans wondering if Hollywood’s next Barbarella might soon make her mark in Bollywood.
