Sydney Sweeney reveals how she feels about Botox, tattoos and cosmetic surgery: “I’m going to age gracefully”
The internet is full of side-by-side comparisons of Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney claiming that she’s undergone work but she recently set the story straight.

Sydney Sweeney has received much criticism over the years about her objectifying her body. Most recently she raised eyebrows when she attended Variety’s Power of Women event in a form-fitting Christian Cowan x Elias Matso dress.
The translucent, floor-length, silver dress Sweeney was wearing made clear that she wasn’t wearing a bra. In this case she got blowback from the same group of people that had defended her from those who criticized her over her participation in a recent American Eagle “great jeans” ad campaign.
Sydney Sweeney says she’s “going to age gracefully”
The star of the Oscar contender ‘Christy’ has been in the public eye since she was a teenager but her big breakthrough came in 2019 with the wildly popular show ‘Euphoria’. Her character Cassie Howard appears in a number of scenes nude, something that got her a significant amount of attention.
However, that attention has also led to people suggesting online that the Emmy-nominated actress has had some work done, posting side-by-side pictures of the physical transformation she has undergone over the years. She recently set the story straight addressing the issue in an interview with Variety.
“I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!” she told the magazine.
“I’ve never gotten anything done,” Sweeney said. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully.”
“It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures.’ I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different,” she added. “I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.’”
As for her “objectifying” her body the actress, who said that she believes in “empowerment” through embracing her body, said: “When people think, ‘Ah, she’s a sex symbol,’ or ‘She’s leaning into that,’ I’m like, ‘No, I just feel good and I’m doing it for myself and I feel strong.’” Sweeney explained.
“And I hope that I can inspire other women to be confident and just flaunt what they got and feel good because you shouldn’t have to apologize or hide or cover up in any room,” she said.
“I play a lot of very divisive characters, and I think that a lot of people think they know me, but they don’t,” she commented.
