Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has captivated fans of the singer since before the match was made back in 2023.
July 2023: The Initial Spark
The romance began when Travis Kelce attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Kansas City on 8 July. It was during this concert that he attempted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number, but he missed the chance to meet her.
This playful gesture was later discussed on his podcast, “New Heights,” where he humorously lamented the missed opportunity
September 2023: Public confirmation
“It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually got,” Kelce says on The Pat McAfee Show of his potential romance with Swift.
His coyness was disrupted by the public sight of Swift cheering for Travis at a Kansas City Chiefs game on 24 September. They also left the game together.
December 2023: More revealed
As the year progressed, Taylor and Travis were seen together more often. Swift attended several of Kelce’s games while he was seen at her shows in the US and South America. After being declared Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, Swift explained the couple’s relationship so far.
“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” she told Time. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
February 2024: Kelce’s Superbowl win
Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ thrilling victory in Super Bowl LVIII on 11 February, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce celebrated their relationship and his achievement in style. The game, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, saw the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in an overtime thriller
She was photographed giving him a congratulatory kiss on the field after the game.
June 2024: Social Media Debut
In June, Taylor made their relationship Instagram official by posting a selfie with Travis, which was a significant step for the usually private star. This post came after one of her London show dates, where they mingled with Prince William and the royal family.
At another show Kelce took to the stage as a dancer to bring Swift ‘back to life’.
