Taylor Swift fans think she’s the author of an upcoming book

Some Taylor Swift fans are convinced the singer is releasing a memoir.

Some Taylor Swift fans are convinced the singer is releasing a memoir.

Taylor Swift fans are known for their love of piecing together clues left by the singer, and it looks as though they have now set their attention on an upcoming new book.

Swifties are convinced that an untitled book by Macmillan imprint Flatiron, which is currently known as ‘4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023′, is somehow connected to the 33-year-old.

The cover, author and official title of the book, which is slated to be released on July 9, have yet to be unveiled, though the publisher did reveal that the hardcover edition will be 544 pages, and that it is a biography or memoir.

Although there is nothing tangible linking Swift to the book, fans have been sent into a frenzy, even though Page Six and Variety have confirmed the book is not authored by Swift.

Nevertheless, the book is currently #1 on the Barnes & Nobles pre-sales charts, as well as #1 in Amazon’s Photography and Video category and #58 in all books, though it reached as high as #2.

The book is currently available for pre-order for $45, while the Kindle version can be purchased for $29.99.

How the speculation began

It all began on Monday when a document emerged on social media, supposedly by Flatiron, which stated they were releasing a “major nonfiction book this summer, with the title and author to be announced on June 13.”

Given Swift’s favorite number is known to be 13, fans jumped to the conclusion that the book could be about her.

They also noted that the book’s page count, 544, is 5+4+4, which is 13.

There’s also the fact that Swift is releasing the rerecorded version of her 2010 album, ‘Speak Now’ on July 7, which is two days before the book hits shelves.

When Swift announced the news on social media, she said “dear reader” and said that fans can hear the album “just in time for July 9.”

However, many pointed out that July 9 means something different to Swift, who mentions the date in ‘Last Kiss’, a song featured on ‘Speak Now’.

As for the book, Flatiron announced: “This is not a political book, it is a fun, celebratory title and will skew slightly younger, but is for people of all ages. This has global appeal and will have massive publicity. I would comp (compare) this to Flatiron’s Matthew Perry memoir … and a little bit to Spare by Prince Harry.”
