Taylor Swift makes Billboard 200 history with seven albums in Top 40

For the first time in her career, Taylor Swift has seven albums in the Top 40 at the same time on the Billboard 200 chart.

Taylor Swift is the only living person to have achieved this since the Billboard 200 was changed to an all-encompassing list back in August 1963. The only other person to achieve such a tremendous feat was Whitney Houston, after her death in March 2012.

In the top 40 of the April 1-dated Billboard 200 chart, Swift holds the following titles:

  • No. 3 – Midnights
  • No. 13 – Lover
  • No. 14 – Folklore
  • No. 19 – 1989
  • No. 22 – Red (Taylor’s Version)
  • No. 26 – Reputation
  • No. 31 – Evermore

Swift has two more albums on the April 1 chart: Fearless (Taylor’s Version) at No. 52, and Speak Now, at No. 69, as if seven wasn’t enough. This has positioned Swift as one of the most successful artists of her time, though not in a league of her own.

Taylor Swift tour of America

The news of the success came shortly after the launch of The Eras Tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17th. Over 40 songs were performed on her opening night, as Swift has not performed since the pre-COVID era, leaving fans yearning for over three albums of songs to cover.

Fans are absolutely loving the throwback outfits to previous eras of Taylor Swift, including a Gold Fringe Flapper Dress that was nearly identical to the one she wore during her 2011 ‘Speak Now World Tour’.

The outfits are kicking up quite the fuss as fans are given a hint of nostalgia at all the different seasons they’ve followed Swift through, from edgy to all red and back again.
