Taylor Swift was spotted leaving dinner on Monday, April 10 amidst reports that her six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn has fizzled out. The news of the split was first reported by Entertainment Tonight on April 8 and was later confirmed by People.

According to the outlets, the breakup was rather anti-climatic, and the two grew apart with time with sources claiming the split was caused by “differences in their personalities.” Neither Swift nor Alwyn have commented on the reports.

Despite the breakup reports, Swift was spotted smiling leaving dinner at an Italian restaurant in New York City on Monday night. The star walked out alone, but longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée were seen following closely behind.

The ‘Lavender Haze’ singer wore casual high-waisted jeans with a butterfly embellishment, along with black heels and a black off-the-shoulder top. Swift, although caught off guard, seems to be slightly smiling in the shots.

Swift also opted for dark red lipstick and accessorized with a sparkly silver purse and dainty necklace. The star is currently enjoying her 10-day break between Eras Tour dates, with her next scheduled show Thursday, April 13 in Tampa, Florida.

According to earlier reports, the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer spent some time last week in the UK where she was seen filming an unknown music video in Liverpool with actress Joey King.

The restaurant Swift had just dined at is called Via Carota, an upscale Italian restaurant located in Greenwich Village in New York City. The restaurant is a hotspot for celebrities, with stars like Timothée Chalamet, John Mayer, Steph Curry, and Maggie Gyllenhaal being spotted dining there before.

The ‘J’ Necklace

Although Swift has yet to comment on her alleged relationship status, many fans were quick to point out that it appears that the singer is still wearing her ‘J’ Tiffany necklace. According to earlier reports, Swift wears the necklace as a nod to her longtime boyfriend, as his first initial is ‘J.’

She debuted the necklace in 2017 when she was photographed as a bridesmaid for her friend’s wedding. The songwriter also references the necklace in her 2018 song ‘Call it What You Want’ with the lyrics: “I want to wear his initial/On a chain round my neck/chain round my neck/Not because he owns me/But ‘cause he really knows me.”
