Taylor Swift’s incredible gesture ahead of ‘Eras Tour’ show in Tampa
Swift caused quite a stir in Tampa ahead of the first of three shows at Raymond James Stadium.
After taking last weekend off from her ‘Eras Tour’, Taylor Swift is gearing up for the first of three performances at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Thursday.
Ahead of the show, Swift caused quite a stir with an incredible act of kindness.
Swift’s generous donation
The singer was praised after making a significant contribution to Feeding Tampa Bay, a local food bank.
The food bank took time to thank Swift, revealing that her generosity will help put over 125,000 meals on tables for those that need it.
“Thank you @taylorswift for being a HERO and supporting Feeding Tampa Bay’s mission to end hunger by 2025!” the nonprofit organization wrote captioned a photo of Swift’s multi-colored tour poster.
“Your generosity will place over 125,000 meals on tables!”
The gesture isn’t the first time Swift has donated to a food bank during her ‘Eras Tour’.
Swift made a sizable donation to the Arizona Food Bank Network ahead of back-to-back shows in Glendale, Arizona. The singer didn’t publicly announce the donation, with the food bank speaking about the act with AZ Central.
“It’s not every day that you get a call from someone who works for Taylor Swift, so we were dubious at first, but happily, it turned out to be absolutely real,” vice president of external relations Terri Shoemaker told the outlet.
Shoemaker added that Swift’s PR agent told her that the singer plans on making a positive impact in communities she visits while touring.
Three Square, a food bank in Southern Nevada, revealed Swift made big donations to them as well ahead of her shows at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on March 24 and 25.
Swift’s first shows post-breakup
Thursday’s show in Tampa will be Swift’s first since news that she and Joe Alwyn broke up, with Beabadoobee and Gracie Abrams slated to be the opening acts from Thursday to Saturday.
Swift and Alwyn two made their relationship official on Instagram in 2017, though many believe the couple started dating months before that.
Since news of the split, Swift has been seen in public. She was spotted leaving an Italian restaurant in New York City on Monday night alone, with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée following closely behind.
Fans were quick to point out that the ‘Lavender Haze’ singer was spotted still wearing a Silver Tiffany necklace with the ‘J’ initial on it, a nod to Joe’s first initial.
