Spring is always an exciting time for film fans because of the abundance of award shows. Coming up this week is the Film Independent Spirit Awards Ceremony, which celebrates the independent and lower-budget filmmakers of the year.
The official ceremony will take place on March 4, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. EST, and will be held at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California.
Also, for the first time in Spirit Awards history, the acting categories are gender-neutral. The former best lead and supporting actor and actress categories are being replaced by the 10 nominees categories for Best Lead and Best Supporting awards.
